DXCC COUNTRY/ENTITY REPORT
According to the AR-Cluster Network for the week of Sunday, 30th/October, through Sunday, 6th/November there were 235 countries active. 3B8, MAURITIUS
Operators Richard/OM2TW, Rudi/OM3PC, Joe/OM5AW and Bebo/OM5RW will be active from November 18-28th, as 3B8/homecall. They will be active on CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK and SSTV with two separate stations on 160-10 meters (especially on 160/80 meters). QSL via their home callsigns. 3W/XV, VIETNAM (Work'em Now)
Charles Harpole, K4VUD, reported the following:

"Best to work Vietnam now-a-days because rumor has it that at the end of the year, some or all Vietnam hams will be without license.... or may have to renew via some delayed process. This could change for the better at any time, but work those XV and 3W now if u can."

4U1UN, UNITED NATIONS HQ
Operator Seppo, OH1VR, during his world tour with Juhani, OH3SR, will stop in New York City and operate from 4U1UN during the last 7 to 8 hours of the CQWW DX CW Contest on Sunday, November 27th. QSL via HB9BOU.

5H, TANZANIA
Hans, DL7CM, will be on holiday with his wife from the Lodge in Uroa, Zanzibar Island (IOTA AF-032), from November 23rd to December 18th. Since this is a holiday operation, look for him to be active as 5H1CM during his spare time on 160-6 meters on CW, SSB and RTTY. 5X, UGANDA
Vlad, UA4WHX, who has recently left Kenya and was active as 5Z4/UA4WHX, is now active as 5X1VB from Uganda. His activity over the past week has been on 20/15/12 meters SSB and 30 meters CW. The length of his stay is unknown. QSL via UA4WHX, by the bureau or direct.

9V, SINGAPORE (Also HS)
Remember to look for Seppo/OH1VR and Juhani/OH3SR to be active from 9V1PC's QTH November 9-10th. Activity will be on all bands, SSB, CW and RTTY. QSL direct only to home calls. The duo will head to Thailand next and operate from the QTH of HS0AC November 10-13th.

A5, BHUTAN (Update to OPDX.728)
Members from the Clipperton DX Club team that will be active from Bhutan between November 18th and December 3rd, have announced they will be in the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as A52CDX. Operators mentioned are: Gerard/F2VX, Jean-Louis/F9DK, Vincent/G0LMX and Alain/F5LMJ. QSL via F9DK, direct or by the bureau.

A6, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
Witek, SP9MRO, will operate as A61/SP9MRO from Dubai, November 15-26th. His equipment will be an Icom-756 and 3-element beam for 20/15/10 meters. He also plans to be active from the local university club station A61AX. QSL via his home callsign.

DXCC NEWS
Bill Moore, NC1L, ARRL DXCC Manager, has informed OPDX that the following operation has been approved for DXCC credit:
DX0K - Spratly Islands, February 1, 2005, through April 30, 2005.

IOTA NEWS
AF-018. After 7 years of top results in the SSB leg of the CQWW DX SSB Contest, the Tikirriki Contest Club will participate in the CQWW DX CW Contest as IH9P from Pantelleria Island (African Italy, Zone 33, IIA TP-01) as a Milti/2 entry. QSL via KR7X. The operators will start arriving on November 20th; expect some to be active as homecall/IH9 on SSB and the Digital Modes before the contest. Operators mentioned are: I2IFT, IK2AHB, IK2ANI, IK2CIO, IK2HKT, IK2RZP, IK7JWY, IK8ETA, IN3QGY, IV3SKB, IT9BLB, IT9VDQ, IT9WPO and IT9ZGY. Visit the IH9P Web page at:

KH5, PALMYRA
Kimo/KH7U and Mike/KH6ND are now active from Palmyra and will stay until Saturday, November 19th. Kimo is expected to operate on SSB and Mike will be working CW and RTTY. They will have amplifiers and will be putting up some vertical arrays for 80-10 meters. If they can get an antenna up for 160 meters, they will also be trying that band. Operating time will be limited because this is a working trip. Operators will be signing KH6ND/5 and KH7U/5. It was reported that the "shortened" suffix is "legal" since the prefix for Hawaii and Palmyra is "KH" and is acceptable. QSL KH7U/5 via AH6NF and KH6ND/5 via K2PF. Don't forget the SASE or SAE with funds for return postage.

LIGHTHOUSE ACTIVITY
Yves, HB9AOF, and some of his friends from Geneva will be active as HE1G from the Geneva Harbour Lighthouse (ARLHS SWI-001) on Leman Lake, on November 12-13th. Look for activity on the HF bands mainly on 20 and 40 meters. There may be activity on 2m and 70cm. QSL via operator's instructions.

LN8, NORWAY
Operators Lech/LA7MFA, Oystein/LA6YEA, Bjorn/LB1GB and Olaf/LB8IB will be active as LN8W in the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as a Multi/Single entry. QSL via LA9VDA.

MD4, ISLE OF MAN
Operators David/G3NKC, Peter/G4MJS, Martin/G4XUM and Tim/M0BEW will be active as MD4K during the CQ WW 160 CW Contest (January 28-29th) as a Multi entry. QSL via G3NKC.

P4, ARUBA
Operators John/W6LD, Denny/KX7M, Rick/N6XI and Mike/N7MH will be active as P40L during the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as a Multi/Single entry. QSL via K5WW. The team of operators will be on the air from the evening of November 22nd through the morning of November 29th. Activity outside of the contest will be on all bands, CW and SSB, but no RTTY.

SILENT KEYS
Ray Small, G3ALI, became a "Silent Key" suddenly on October 26th. He was RSGB IOTA Awards Checkpoint.

Gerry, VE6LB/VA6XDX, informs OPDX that Vitaly "Willy", VE6JO (aka 3C2MV) passed away on October 30th after a brief illness. All outstanding and new QSLs for VE6JO and Willy's 3C2MV operation will be answered by Gerry, VE6LB, in due course. It may take a while to get the logs organized and additional cards printed for his 3C2MV operation. Please be patient.

Robert Reed, W2CE (ex-WN2DIN and WB2DIN), became a "Silent Key" on October 30th. He was 55 years old. Robert, over the past several years, has been one of the moderators and input person on one of the major DX Mail Reflectors.

V4, ST. KITTS AND NEVIS (Also, 6Y and ZF)
Kan, AB2RF (JJ2RCJ) is expected to be active this month and next month from a few Caribbean islands. Look for him to activate St. Kitts (NA-104) on November 23-24th and Nevis on November 25-26th. His callsign from both islands will be V47CJ. His activity will focus on the Digital modes(RTTY/PSK) and CW, also, on the low bands (30/40/80m if possible). QSL via AB2RF. ADDED NOTE: Kan will be on the Cayman Islands as ZF2CJ from December 28th to January 1st. Also, look for him to be active as 6Y5/AB2RF from Jamaica, January 2-4th.

V63, MICRONESIA
Operators Sasi/JA1KJW (V63JQ), Hiro/V73VE/JF1OCQ (V63VE) and Shigeo/JA1JQY (V63JY) will be active from Pohnpei Island (OC-010), November 19-24th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters CW/SSB. QSL via their home callsign, direct or via the bureau.

V73, MARSHALL ISLANDS
Operators Sasi/JA1KJW (V73KJ) and Shigeo/JA1JQY (V73JY) will be active from Majuro Island (OC-029) in the Marshall Islands group, November 17-18th. QSL via their home callsign, direct or via the bureau.

VK9C, COCOS-KEELING ISLAND (Update)
Just a reminder and update that Charlie, W0YG, will be active from here between November 8-21st as VK9CG. Reports indicate that Burt, W0MY, will be joining Charlie on the island. Look for Charlie to be mostly on the lower bands, 160 and 80 meters, but he will also do some HF RTTY and CW. All QSLs go to W0YG. Please, direct only.

VK0, ANTARCTICA
Paul, VK2JLX, announced this past weekend that he will be arriving at the Antarctica Davis station Monday morning, November 7th, and he will be there during the winter. After he settles in during this week, he will be active with the callsign VK0JLX. Paul will be active on HF along with another expeditioner who has the callsign VK0AG. Paul states, "I will be at Davis over the 2006 winter and will be active until around December 2006. I look forward to working you on the bands."

VP2M, MONTSERRAT
Operators William/W3WH, David/K9UK, Kirby/N7NM, Carl/ K9CS and Larry/K3VX will be active in the ARRL DX CW Contest (February 18-19th) as a Multi/Multi entry. QSL via N3ZNI. The contest callsign has yet to be determined, but it will probably be on of the personal callsign.
