6W, SENEGAL
Al, F5VHJ, will be active as 6W1RY during the CQ World-Wide DX SSB Contest (October 25-26th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry. QSL via F5VHJ.

CQ9/CT95, MADEIRA ISLANDS (Update)
Operators CT1BOL, CT1DSV, CT1EFS, CT1ENV, CT1FEK and CT1HFS will be active from Selvagens Island (AF-047), July 24-27th. They plan to have two HF stations and will be active as CQ9U and CT95S. The callsign CQ9U will be used during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th), and the callsign CT95S will be used as a tribute to commemorate "Funchal City 500th Years Foundation". Funchal City is the Capital City of Madeira Island. This group of DXpeditioners decided to help the Madeerian Radio Club (ARRM) in celebrating this event, so this call is valid for the 500 Years City of Funchal Award. QSL via CT1BOL. EM10, UKRAINE (Special Event)
Alexander, UT2AB, informs OPDX that the UR-QRP-CLUB is celebrating their 10th anniversary and is on the air with the special callsign EM10QRP until August 4th. QSNs show over the past week that this stations has been on 30/20 meters PSK31. QSL via UT2AB, by the Bureau or direct.

IOTA NEW
AS-105. Operators DS2AGH, HL1IWD, HL1XP, WX8C and AC4RK will be active as 6M0HZ/2 from Kangwha Island, Korea, during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th). QSL via HL1IWD.

EU-006. Members of the EJ0GI Contest Team will be participating in the 2008 RSGB IOTA Contest from Inis Oirr (one of the Aran Islands). QSL via EI2SDR (South Dublin Radio Club). The team is comprised of members from South Dublin Radio Club (SDR) and the City of Belfast Radio Amateurs Society (COBRAS - GI2BX), several of whom are ISWL members (GI0RTN, GI0PCU, GI3MMF and GI8SKN). ISWL Members please note that each ISWL member operating this callsign will count for Monitor award points. Look for activity before and after the contest on 80-6 meters, CW and SSB.

EU-006. David, EJ3GKB, will be active as EJ3GKB/p from Inisheer Island (WLOTA LH-2314) during the IOTA Contest (July 26-27th). Look for activity before and after the contest on 80-6 meters. QSL via EJ3GKB.

EU-029. Bert, DK2BR, will be active as OZ/DK2BR from Mon Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th). Activity will be on 40 and 20 meters SSB. QSL via his home callsign DK2BR.

EU-052. Gerard, F2VX, is active as SV8/F2VX from Cephalonie until August 3rd. QSL via his home callsign.

EU-084. John, G3LAS, will be active as SM/G3LAS from Fogdo Island, July 24-29th. Activity will include the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th). QSL via his home callsign.

(UPDATE) Members of the Strange Radio Team will be active from Sant'Andrea Island (WAIL PU023, ARLHS ITA084, WLOTA LH0075, IIA LE001 and WWLOC JN80XB) as IQ8OM/7 (Headquarter's callsign) during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th). EU-099. Operators Charles/M0OXO and Nigel/M0NJW will once again be active together, this time from Les Minquiers Islands as GB8LMI between July 23-29th. EU-179. A joint team of Ukrainian and Moldavian operators will be active from the Berezan Island in the Black Sea, July 24-29th. Activity will be on the HF bands (80-10m) using CW and SSB, plus a possibility of 6 meters. Operators mentioned are: UR5FEL, UT4FJ, UT0FT, UT0NT, US0ZZ, UT4ZG, ER3AI, ER3DW, ER3DX, ER3GS, ER3OO, ER3ZZ and ER1DA. In the RSGB IOTA Contest, look for the callsign UW2F or UW2F/p to be used. NA-026. Andrei, EW1AR, will be active as NP3D/W2 from Long Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th) as Single-Op/ Mixed/Low-Power entry. QSL via W3HNK, LoTW or direct.

NA-029. Operator Ken/K6LA will operate from Prince Edward Island in eastern Canada using the VY2TT superstation (Grid Square FN76vs, CISA PE-001) during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power/Mixed entry. QSL via K6LA.

NA-137. Several members of the Long Island DX Society will be active as N1LI from Long Island, Maine, during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th) as a Multi-Op entry. QSL via N1LI (see (QRZ.com)).

NA-229. Operators Bruce/KD6WW and Mike/K9AJ have changed plans for the activation of Hearn Island due to landing problems on that island. They now plan to activate Diana Island as KD6WW/VY0 and K9AJ/VY0 instead. Diana Island will also count for NA-229 (New!), Hudson Bay Quebec Coast NE group, and CISA NT-(New!) for the Canadian Islands Award. Dates remain the same - between July 25th and 28th, RSGB IOTA Contest included. QSL via their home callsigns, direct or by the bureau.

SA-016. Xavier, PY7ZY, will try to be active as PY7ZY/PR8 from S. Luis Island between July 25-30th. This is not a DXpedition, but he will try to find a local available station to be active for a few hours. He likes to operate CW. QSL via his home callsign.

SA-080. Cris, PY7GK, will be active as ZW6GK from Tinhare Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th). QSL via PY7GK (See QRZ.com) - ONLY direct.

JW, SVALBARD (EU-026)
Peter, JW7QIA, will be active during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/SSB entry. QSL direct or by the Bureau.

LIGHTHOUSE ACTIVITY
Operators Doug/KD8CAO and John/K8YSE will activate the Grand Haven South Pierhead Inner (USA-1077) and Grand Haven South Pierhead Outer (USA-1078) Michigan Lighthouses during the ARLHS 2008 National Lighthouse-Lightship Week, August 2-9th. Operation from Grand Haven will be on August 2nd. On August 3d, they will try to activate other Lake Michigan lighthouses. Look for them on all HF bands. Satellite operations on AO-51, SO-50 and AO-27 are a possibility. QSL via K8YSE.

MJ, JERSEY
. Operators Oliver/OE5OHO, Henry/OE5HDN and Gerhard/OE3GEA will be active as MJ/homecall between August 21-26th. Activity will be holiday style with operations on all HF bands on CW and SSB. QSL via the Bureau to their home callsigns.

PJ2X (2008) QSL ROUTE. George, W8UVZ, informs OPDX that he has been receiving QSL cards for the recent PJ2X 2008 IARU Contest. He is NOT the QSL Manager for this operation. Operator for this operation was Marko, N5ZO, and the QSLs are to go to OH0XX (in Panama): Olli Rissanen, Apartado 0860-00432, Villa Lucre, Panama, Republic of Panama. ADDED NOTE. George, W8UVZ, did use the callsign PJ2X in the 2003 CQ 160 Contest. Also, Charlotte, KQ1F, used the PJ2X callsign during the CQWW CW Contests in 1987 and 1988, plus it was reissued in 2004.

ADDED NOTE: A special award - "15 Years to RRC" - will be available to everyone who made 13 QSOs (with stations involved in the Russian Robinson Club Awards programs [please see http://www.hamradio.ru/rrc ]: RRA, RLHA, RMA, RFFA (WFF), including KL7DX and other special RRC expeditions) during 2008 year + 2 (confirmed) QSOs with the R15RRC station (different modes/bands/QTHs are possible). SMITHSONIAN STATION GOING QRT
\ "The Daily DX" reports: "The Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History Amateur Radio station NN3SI will be going QRT on July 31st. The club has been trying for several months to come up with a solution to keep this icon on the air. Annually the museum has three million visitors, many getting a first time exposure to Amateur Radio. NN3SI has been QRV for the last 32 years. Starting today through the end of the month the station will be active before finally shutting down. Starting around 1315z, activity will begin on 40 meters. Watch the following frequencies for possible activity: 3840, 7240, 14240, 21340 and 28440 kHz (+/-). They may also be on PSK." QSL info and more details are available at:

TS28, TUNISIA (Special Event)
Look for TS28ASJ to be active until August 3rd. Activity is from the 28th Arab Scout Jamboree in Tunisia. Operations are expected to be on the HF bands using CW, SSB, RRTY, PSK and SSTV. QSNs show this station was very active on 20 meters this past week. QSL via the Tunisian Bureau.
PLEASE NOTE: Sending green stamps or any other legal currencies via the mail to Tunisia is strictly forbidden. IRCs are preferred and acceptable.

VP9, BERMUDA
Angelio, IK2RZP, will be active as VP9/IK2RZP from August 5-24th. Activity will be mainly SSB and the digital modes on the 17/12 meters. However, he will have a multi-band vertical and will only use 100 watts. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by the bureau.
